The good oil on water...

After reading The Grunt's comment here I realised I'd missed posting a good water saving story yesterday(slaps wrist).
And found some more today.
Melbourne City Council are literally dripping with ideas....while Moonee Valley City Council are urging residents to "adopt a tree" in their street and take the responsibility of watering and looking after a tree, after established mature trees were noted as stressed due to the drought. The adoptive residents receive a watering bucket and adoption certificate.
The City of Whittlesea(known in car rally circles as Chip Ocean) recently employed divers to regrout the tiles in the Whittlesea Swimming Pool,so as to avoid emptying and refilling the pool.
Boroondara Council have installed large water tanks in several of its sportsgrounds and gardens, while North Grampians Council have reduced their water use and installed warm season turf at Central Park, home of the famous Stawell Gift.
And in response to yesterday's clanger of the State Govt wasting water,it's been announced a water watchdog will be tackling the state.
With many man-made lakes and reservoirs drying up many things have come to light ;like submerged towns, graves,a historic boat from a long gone boys' school, even a WW2 plane remains found near Colac...but did anyone figure on finding firearms flung by fleeing felons ?

Those are good tips, Bugs. I feel all warm inside, now that I got a mention on your blog. BTW, look in my sidebar next week for your blog's link in Grunt Army. I have been a busy slacker, if that is even possible.
