Splish Splash Govt's taking a bath....
This morning we awoke to the "shocking" news of our govt's shameful water wastage.
C'mon..were we really so surprised at this bit of news ?
And another story on the green,green grass of Parliament.
We've got a second NT fire crew heading our way...for those fires that are still burning.
Demands a firebreak should be kept and demands for an inquiry into the management of these fires could spark off some tempers.
The news that our mighty Murray River is on the brink caught my eye ...on the brink of what,I have yet to discover but the fact it has managed to recover after every past drought(and been far drier than it is currently) makes me wonder about the doomsayers and their hip pockets.
South Australian police are hunting an arsonist responsible for lighting several fires while Sth Aust is on high bushfire alert.
But keep fingers crossed cyclone Isobel will bring relief across the southern states.

We have major water issues where I'm from as well. Our mayor does try to conserve water, though. He ripped out his lawn and planted drought friendly vegetation.
I read a comment from another post of yours, and I too would like to see Dawn French without her dog collar!

Still sitting up late watching the Vicar of Dibley re-runs on cable to catch who's doing the nudie run the censors keep warning us about !.
